In the first seeds harvesting season the balance is positive

Under the action C.1, and during the second half of 2013 were collected 12.45 kg of fruit from species such as yew (Taxus baccata), the rowan (Sorbus aucuparia), holly (Ilex aquifolium) and plymouth pear (Pyrus cordata), species that coexist in habitat 9580 * Mediterranean forests of Taxus baccata.

The resulting seeds are to be used for the ex-situ production of plants which will be used subsequently in action C.3 - Increased yew woods occupation area. The plants production takes place in Sabugal in the  Nossa Senhora da Graça nursery, managed by ICNF – Instituto de Conservação da Natureza e das Florestas.
